The Past, The Present & The Future
What's in the Past:

The milking barn is located on what was the former
Russell Farm and prior to that the old Gilman Farm.  Our
pasture lands include even more farms of the past,
including the Blodgett Farm and the Lavender Farm.
Brotherly Farm was started in 2000  between husband
and wife and a brother of each (hence the name) to
revitalize the Russell Farm.  The trial
s and tribulations
of farming has changed that partnership structure, but
allowed for the transition into organic.
Brotherly Farm Organic, LLC was created in 2006 when
the organic certification took effect.  In 2007 the
expansion into organic vegetable and meat production
began
.

What's in the Present:

Milk is currently shipped to Horizon Organic in record
amounts, the chickens are laying well and beef
production is steady.  Winter is still upon us outside, but
inside the started tomatoes plants are looking hopeful
for May production.
Our CSA program for meat and eggs is in full swing and
still has openings.  And just arrived.... the future  pork
production.

What's in the Future:

May will bring the start of the Farmers Market
season where you will be able to find our fresh
produce, eggs and beef.
There are a couple of Top Secret plans in discussion,
we'll leave you guessing for now, but are betting you
can't come close...........
Who we are:

Craig -- operator and owner of Brotherly
Farm Organic, LLC.  Craig graduated from
Champlain College with a bachelors degree
in accounting, but had the desire to
re-start the life he had as a child.
Because farming is a tough business, he is
also employed as an accountant for the
State of Vermont.

Angela -- marketing and operator of the
vegetable side - AWEA Acres.  Angela
graduated from Champlain College, as well,
with a bachelors degree in accounting and
has done her time in public accounting as a
CPA.  Because kids are a tough business,
she now cares for them full time.

Alex -- "second boss"
Emily -- future vet
Abigail -- kitty catcher
